Crypto Price Today (March 12, 2025): Bitcoin Recovers $80k; ETH, XRP Still Bleeds

The cryptocurrency market is showing signs of recovery following Monday’s downturn, with Bitcoin surging past $80,000 in an effort to regain lost ground. However, major altcoins like ETH, XRP, and SOL continue to lag in their rebound.

After dipping as low as $76,800 on Monday, Bitcoin has now climbed above $82,000, marking a 2.44% increase in the last 24 hours. Despite this short-term recovery, it remains down 5.7% over the past week.

While Bitcoin gains momentum, Ethereum (ETH) is struggling to keep up, still trading below the $1,900 mark. Despite recent recognition by Trump for its role in a strategic crypto reserve, ETH has yet to show significant upward movement.

Other major altcoins, including XRP and SOL, are also facing resistance. SOL has fallen below the crucial $127 support level, while XRP is attempting to break past $2.2—a key resistance level.

Among the top gainers, TAO has led the charge with a 16% increase in the last 24 hours, followed by TIA, PI, and KAS, each posting 13% gains. Conversely, GRASS has been the worst-performing crypto of the day, dropping over 13%, while ENA follows with a 10% decline.
